Application Fee Terms and Conditions

A strictly non-refundable application fee of R500 is required for all new student applications. MEL International School will not process applications, review academic records, or schedule entrance assessments until the full R500 balance clears in the School's designated bank account.

The R500 fee covers the non-recoverable administrative costs associated with processing the enrollment application. This fee is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:

• The student being denied admission for academic, disciplinary, or capacity reasons.
• The applicant choosing to withdraw the application at any stage.
• The failure to submit mandatory documentation (e.g., academic records, transfer cards).
• Any unforeseen changes in the applicant's personal, financial, or relocation circumstances.

• Accepted Methods: Payments must be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), direct bank deposit, or the School's approved payment gateway (PayFast or PayPal).
• Payment Reference: All transactions must include the student's full name and the grade applied for (e.g., "John Doe Grade 8") to ensure timely and correct allocation.
• Transaction Costs: Any banking charges, currency conversion fees, or third-party payment costs are the sole responsibility of the applicant and must not be deducted from the R500 principal.

• No Guarantee of Placement: Payment of the application fee does not guarantee admission or boarding facility allocation. Final acceptance remains subject to the School's selection criteria, available capacity, and successful completion of the enrollment process.
• Validity Period: The fee is valid only for the specific academic year applied for. Applications deferred to a subsequent academic year will require a new fee submission.
• Data Privacy: By applying, the applicant consents to the School processing personal data in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), used exclusively for admissions and internal administrative purposes.
